About Stewart Smythe
Stewart Smythe leads the AI, Data and Digital Division at Acuity Analytics, driving one of the firm’s most strategic growth priorities following the acquisition of Ascent in Q3 2025. He oversees a global team of nearly 1,000 specialists delivering AI, Data Services, Digital Engineering, Enterprise AI, Cloud Services and Enterprise Business Applications.
Stewart is focused on strengthening Acuity’s technology capabilities, deepening impact within Financial Services and expanding into new sectors. He also leads key technology partnerships with Microsoft, Azure OpenAI, Databricks, Snowflake, AWS and others.
Before joining Acuity, Stewart was CEO of Ascent from 2019 to 2025, scaling the company from 70 to 550 people across seven European markets. He previously led Adapt, a fast-growing cloud and hosting business, and earlier held senior roles in the Telecom and Internet sector, including serving on the PLC board of Cable & Wireless during its flotation on the London Stock Exchange. He began his career in consulting at KPMG and Accenture and is a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW, UK).
Outside work, Stewart enjoys time with his wife and four teenage children and is a keen follower of sports, with the occasional game of golf.
